We are seeking a creative and passionate Qualified Art Teacher to join a secondary school located in B44 area in Birmingham. You will be working with a supportive and friendly team, with great facilities and rated ‘Good’ on Ofsted rating. The successful educator should possess a QTS and have previous experience teaching Art. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to inspire and engage students in the visual arts. This is a full-time role, with an immediate start!

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons for Key stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Foster a creative learning environment that encourages student to be expressive and artistic
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
  • Maintain an orderly classroom and ensure health and safety standards are met
  • Encompass a flexible work attitude to align with the schools’ requirements

Requirements:

  • Teaching Qualification (QTS): Bachelor of Education/PGCE or an equivalent teaching degree.
  • Degree in Art or a similar field
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working with children and young adults
  • Adaptability and flexibility, approaching work with an optimistic educational perspective
  • Must be able to start immediately and commit to a full-time job
