Monarch Education are working with a school located in the South Birmingham area, B14 who are looking for an ambitious, inspirational and creative Art Teacher to join their team. The successful Teacher must have experience of teaching Arts to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is full time on a long term basis, starting as soon as possible.

The school are looking for somebody who can;

  • Plan lessons on Art in accordance to students learning objectives
  • Confidently develop students drawing, colouring and paining techniques
  • Teach students about the History of Art
  • Assign and grade projects and examinations
  • Demonstrate excellence in a variety of art techniques
  • Plan and prepare learning activities
  • Develop a program to meeting the needs and abilities of pupils
  • Expand the use of students individual and collaborative strategies

The school are looking for a Teacher who has a passion for encouraging students to express their personalities and thoughts through Arts. The school has an extremely supportive Arts department who take pride in establishing a purposeful learning environment where diversity is valued and where pupils and staff feel safe, secure and confident.

To apply for this role you must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or equivalent
  • Previous experience teaching Art (or similar Subjects)
  • Excellent subject knowledge
  • Be able to provide 2 educational references which can support your teaching experience
  • Hold a DBS which is registered online with the DBS update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
