A Level & AS Law Teacher – Birmingham

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic A Level Law Teacher to join a supportive post‑16 setting in the Birmingham area. This is a part‑time, long‑term role delivered entirely on Mondays, offering an excellent opportunity to make a strong impact within a well‑structured and engaging Social Sciences department.

Start Date: After Half Term
Contract Type: Long‑term
Working Hours: 6 hours per week – Mondays only
Timetable:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Law or related legal qualification (essential)
- A recognised teacher‑training qualification (PGCE / QTS / QTLS / CertEd)
- Proven experience teaching A Level Law (essential)
- Strong subject knowledge of legal principles, case law, and exam board specifications
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
- A commitment to inclusive teaching, high expectations and strong academic outcomes
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging A Level and AS Law lessons aligned with exam board requirements
- Prepare students for assessments, essays, case‑study analysis and external examinations
- Monitor, assess and track student progress, identifying areas for targeted intervention
- Provide clear academic guidance, revision strategies and structured feedback
- Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Contribute to maintaining high academic standards within the Law department
