A Level & AS Law Teacher – Birmingham

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic A Level Law Teacher to join a supportive post‑16 setting in the Birmingham area. This is a part‑time, long‑term role delivered entirely on Mondays, offering an excellent opportunity to make a strong impact within a well‑structured and engaging Social Sciences department.

Working Hours: 6 hours per week – Mondays only
Timetable:

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• A degree in Law or related legal qualification (essential)
• A recognised teacher‑training qualification (PGCE / QTS / QTLS / CertEd)
• Proven experience teaching A Level Law (essential)
• Strong subject knowledge of legal principles, case law, and exam board specifications
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
• A commitment to inclusive teaching, high expectations and strong academic outcomes
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging A Level and AS Law lessons aligned with exam board requirements
• Prepare students for assessments, essays, case‑study analysis and external examinations
• Monitor, assess and track student progress, identifying areas for targeted intervention
• Provide clear academic guidance, revision strategies and structured feedback
• Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to maintaining high academic standards within the Law department
