ASC Learning Support Worker

Location: Bromsgrove

Salary: £83.33-£96.72 (Negotiable)

Hours of work: Full- Time, Temporary or Part Time.

Start Date: September 2024.

Monarch Education are working to find an ASC Learning support worker in the Bromsgrove area. We are recruiting for someone who wants this rewarding opportunity to help benefit children’s lives. We are looking for someone who is confident at communicating with young people. The best suited candidate would be nurturing patient and a good listener.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Be able to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Talk to parents and carers when needed.
  • Taking an interest in and supporting the well-being of students both physically and mentally
  • Communicating with the teacher to ensure an inclusive and engaging environment.
  • Experience working with children with ASC or similar behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of Autism and its impact on learning and development.
  • Patient, empathetic and resilient with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Positive and nurturing approach to supporting children with education special needs.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Be comfortable with working on a one-to-one basis.
  • Be able to provide additional support for children with ASC needs.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Safeguarding Level 1.
