Behaviour Mentor

School location: Corby

Pay: £90 – £100 p/day

Start date: ASAP

An alternative provision are looking for a Behaviour mentor to support students aged 14-16. This role will be term time only and candidates must have relevant experience, for example in schools, challenging environments or with children/young adults.

Candidates must be ready to start work as soon as possible and be able to work Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 3:30pm.

The candidate needs to…

  • Have a UK driving licence and own their own vehicle (essential)
  • Have experience with children or young adults (essential)
  • Be able to work with and support SEND pupils
  • Have a professional manner
  • Be friendly and resilient – must cope well with verbal and physical behaviours
  • Have a desire to support children
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills, or be willing to learn
  • Provide references relevant to this chosen role
  • Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
  • Build great relationships with staff and pupils
  • Be able to work on site and off site, managing behaviours in both areas
  • Be flexible in the workplace
