We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a highly supportive and inspiring special needs school in Slough. The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive strategies
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Support pupils in developing social, emotional and communication skills
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to deliver tailored support
  • Encourage independence and confidence in students

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Ability to remain positive and resilient in challenging situations
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
