Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Bedminster, Bristol

An inclusive secondary school in Bedminster are seeking new behaviour support assistant to join their school on a full time basis. The role will start immediately and will be ongoing for the remaining academic year.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be working alongside a small group of KS3 pupils with ADHD, Autism and Social and Emotional needs. Experience in these areas is essential.

This role requires an individual with experience of working children and would be very suitable for football and rugby coaches who would like to transition into the education setting. Excellent English is essential for this role as communication is key when it comes to providing the best support possible for the pupils.

It would be beneficial to have a background in sports coaching or youth work.

Please note: This role requires an individual with a minimum of three months experience working within a UK school or within a child based setting.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with all subjects
  • Supporting learning and emotonal needs of key pupils
  • Creating a positive environment where all pupils can excel and learn creatively
  • Observing and assessing individual pupil development

Requirements
