Join Our Team as a Behaviour Support Assistant at a Pupil Referral Unit in Bury!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? A school in Bury (BL9) is looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team starting ASAP until July 2025.

Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with students to support their social, emotional, and behavioural development. Your role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students who need help with managing their behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behaviour strategies and individualised learning plans.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, encouraging environment for students.
  • Offering emotional support to students as they work through challenges in and out of the classroom.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A compassionate individual with a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience working with children in a support role (ideally in a school setting).
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students’ needs.
