Behavioural Support Assistant

Monarch Education seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in an mainstream secondary school in Birmingham, B15. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people who may have behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, helping them to thrive in an educational setting. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students lives, supporting them in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their potential. This is role is starting immediately !

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with young people
• Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
• Have good behaviour management skills
• Have experience supporting children with additional needs

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
• Work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that accommodates students with diverse needs
• Helping manage and improve behaviour in the classroom and beyond
• Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
• Monitor and assess student’s behavioural progress
