BSL Trained Teachers & Teaching Assistants
Location: Birmingham
Salary £100 – £210 a day
Contract: Part time, Day-to-Day
Requirements to apply:
You must have an accredited qualification in BSL (British Sign Language)
A valid DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Monarch Education.
Availability to work full-time (Monday to Friday) during term time only.
Experience working in a school or education-based setting preferred but not essential
Key Responsibilities
Utilising your BSL training to facilitate effective communication and engagement with the child, signing everything to them.
Collaborating with the staff and the school’s SENCO to develop and implement tailored strategies and activities to support the children’s learning and development.
Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes the child’s well-being and progress.
Tracking and documenting the child’s progress and reporting regularly to the class teacher and SENCO.
Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills in supporting students with communication and sensory needs.
