Looking for an opportunity to positively impact young lives? Monarch Education are seeking experienced support workers to support Secondary children with their SEMH support needs. Within this role you will help create an inclusive and nurturing environment for students with additional needs and create a fun and dynamic workspace for all pupils.

Job Description:

  • Assessing the needs of students and using your knowledge and specialist skills to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
  • Working with school staff to maintain good behaviour in class and during 1:1 session.
  • Monitor progress daily, identify areas for improvement.
  • Building trusting relationships with students and prioritising their social and emotional wellbeing.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children, young people or adults with SEMH or SEND
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and ability to create a nurturing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and parents.

Qualifications:

Experience in counselling or a degree in psychology is not required for this role, but it would be considered an asset. Candidates who have prior experience working in prisons or with individuals with complex emotional and mental health needs will be highly regarded.
