About us:

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school in the B15 area of Birmingham. This role is essential in helping maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, take pride in their work, and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the school site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting as required
  • Replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
  • Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the site manager
  • Ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed within allocated time frames
  • Following health and safety guidelines and school policies

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial setting preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and reliability
  • Awareness of hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
