Monarch Education are recruiting School Cleaners to support schools across Chesterfield from September 2026.
These roles are ideal for dependable individuals seeking part time work within a school environment, helping to ensure pupils and staff have access to clean, safe and welcoming facilities throughout the academic year.
As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across designated areas of the school.
Shifts typically take place before or after the school day and are a vital part of ensuring the school remains a safe and pleasant environment for everyone.
Clean classrooms, corridors and communal areas
Sanitise surfaces, toilets and frequently used touch points
Empty bins and replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Report maintenance, cleaning or safety concerns
Work efficiently as part of the site and cleaning team
Previous cleaning experience is desirable
Experience cleaning within a school or educational setting is advantageous
Reliable and punctual approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Good understanding of hygiene and health and safety standards
Willingness to work within a school environment
