Job Title: Secondary Computer Science Teacher

The school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Computer Science Teacher to join their team of educators.

Position Overview:

As a Secondary Computer Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of computer scientists and equip them with the skills necessary to thrive in a technology-driven world. The school are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about teaching computer science concepts, programming languages, and problem-solving skills to students in KS3/4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging computer science curriculum in alignment with the school’s standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and promote cross-curricular learning.
  • Stay current with advancements in computer science education and technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification and relevant teaching experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
