Cover Supervisor

Monarch Education are working with mainstream secondary schools in the Greater Manchester area, who are seeking full time Teaching Assistants & Cover Supervisors to join their schools from September 2024. The roles are 5 days per week, supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils

These roles would entail covering the class teachers and supporting the class Teachers and pupils. You will be responsible for ensuring students are getting on with their work, running group sessions, 1-1 interventions, general class support during lessons, break time cover and other general assisting duties. You will also help with pupil assessments and feedback for teachers/ carers and support pupils with their GCSE preparations

The Role:

• Hours approximately 8:30am – 3:30pm
• KS3/ KS4 Support
• £12.82 – 14.88 per hour
• Salford, Greater Manchester Area

Responsibilities:

• Providing support within the classroom wherever required
• Ensuring children are engaged
• Adapting to every individual pupil’s needs
• Helping with behaviour management of children

Individual profile:

• Previous experience working with children
• Attentive to needs of pupils
• Strong regard for pupil safety-and well being
• Caring, patient, and understanding
• Motivating with ability to engage pupils
• Good ability to manage behaviour
• Reliable and committed fully to each lesson assisted
