Monarch Education is currently recruiting for an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with a primary school in Oxford. This is a full-time position, with an immediate start available.

Role Description:

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the emotional and social development of pupils. You will deliver targeted emotional literacy support sessions to children who require additional assistance, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and recording pupils’ progress, implementing tailored interventions, and fostering resilience and confidence among students.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience or relevant qualification in delivering ELSA support or similar emotional literacy interventions
  • Strong commitment to promoting children’s mental health and well-being
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, caring, and proactive approach to supporting pupils’ needs
