Job Description:

Monarch Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to join our team in Didcot. We have opportunities for both part-time and full-time roles within local secondary schools, starting in September 2024. As an English Teacher with Monarch Education, you will inspire and engage students, helping them to achieve their full potential in the subject of English.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to secondary school students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
  • Contribute to the overall school community and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
