English Teacher, Bristol

We are actively recruiting an enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher with UK recognised QTS based in Bristol.

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bristol are looking for a full time English teacher to join their school in January 2026. This is a long term placement and as a newly appointed teacher you will be fully supported by the English department; As part of this role you will teach up to GCSE level and be responsible for participating in team planning.

Daily rate of pay will start at £145 and can increase to £232.57 , for more experienced teachers with UK recognised Qualified Teaching Status.

UK qualified teacher status (QTS) is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

• Planning/Teaching all lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive environment and managing behaviour within the classroom
• Providing leadership for the classroom assistant to provide the best support for all pupils

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status recognised in the UK
• Full time availability
• Specialism or experience teaching English in UK based schools
