Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Halesowen. This is a full-time role, ideal for an enthusiastic educator with a genuine passion for English Language and Literature.
The successful candidate will contribute to a strong English department, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include:
- Teaching English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum
- Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons
- Preparing students for GCSE assessments, focusing on reading, writing, analysis and critical thinking
- Creating engaging resources to support learning across a range of abilities
- Tracking and assessing pupil progress, providing useful feedback
- Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment
- Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and whole-school initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – mandatory
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language & Literature
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- A reflective, proactive approach to teaching and professional development
