English Tutor

Monarch Education are working with the Local Authority to recruit several Tutors to teach a group of refugees of mixed ages and abilities. This is a unique position for someone looking to challenge themselves by having root to branch input into planning and delivering a bespoke curriculum to a group of Adults who have been resettled in the UK from overseas and do not speak English. The ideal tutor will be happy tutoring both children and adults of mixed abilities.

Pay: £20 – £40 per hour

Start: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months minimum

Working Week: Ideally 5 x days a week of up to 6 hours tutoring a day

Location: Inverness, Scotland

The successful candidates will ideally have;

• Experience working with students who’s first language is not English
• QTS / TESOL / CELTA, TEFL Qualification
• Ability to plan a bespoke curriculum for mixed abilities
• Tutoring experience
• Experience in working with Children and/ or Adults who have suffered trauma
• Ability to work in a team with workers from other authorities
• Independent working
• Loving and caring nature towards learning
