English Tutor – EAL

Monarch Education are working with a Local Authority in the Inverness area, who are currently seeking a number of Tutors/ Teachers to provide English support to both children and adults who have recently relocated to the UK from overseas.

The role entails teaching English support to refuges, who currently possess very little knowledge of the English Language in order to provide them with the initial basic skills they require to help them get started

£20 – £40 Per Hour Earnings

Inverness, Scotland

Responsibilities/ Duties:

• English Language teaching/ tuition support
• Full time, Monday – Friday each week
• Approximately 6 hours per day including admin time (this may vary day to day)
• 1 hour tuition sessions with a maximum of 6 students per session
• You must plan, deliver and assess work of all students
• Mixture of both child and adult tutoring sessions each day

The Ideal Candidates:

• TEFL/ ESOL/ CELTA/ TESOL or QTS Qualification
• Prior experience teaching English to children or adults
• Ability to plan lessons in accordance with students’ ability levels
• Strong communication skills
• Warm and welcoming personality

This role is set to start ASAP in June 2024
