Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant

Location: Oldham Primary School (OL9)

Start Date: September 2024

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) for a reputable Oldham Primary School. This exciting opportunity is set to commence in September 2024. If you are an enthusiastic and nurturing individual with a love for early childhood education, we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in delivering high-quality education to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them achieve their developmental milestones.
  • Provide care and support for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being while fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, working closely with teachers to identify areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies.
  • Help organise and maintain learning materials and resources within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with EYFS teachers and other staff members to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns or questions.

To be considered for this role, candidates will have recent experience supporting children at Early Years Foundation Stage, they will have a caring and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for early education. A relevant degree or Level 3 TA certificate is extremely desirable. Applicants must also have strong communication skills, the ability to work as part of a well-established team and be able commit to working 5 days a week.
