Monarch Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Weston-super-Mare. The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children within the Early Years classroom and outdoor learning environment.
  • Help deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Encourage independence, communication, and confidence in young learners.
  • Assist with observations and assessment activities where required.
  • Support children with varying needs and abilities.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Be flexible and provide support across different areas of the EYFS setting when needed.

  • Have experience working with young children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting.
  • Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Are nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic.
  • Can build positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Are flexible and happy to support where needed across the setting.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
