Are you a passionate and qualified first aider looking to join a supportive team? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real difference? Monarch Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced First Aider to join our team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the medical room, delivering medicine and providing emergency first aid where required. This will be a full-time role. You must have a valid certificate for EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK.

The working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for students with injuries or illnesses.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the medical room, maintaining records, and supervising sick or injured children.
  • Administer medications to students with parental consent and following established protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop risk assessments and evacuation plans for students with identified medical needs.
  • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and call for assistance when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Level 2 or 3 First Aid qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working as a First Aider, ideally in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and how to work effectively with young people.
  • Knowledge of the importance of a professionally run and well organised medical room

Requirements:

  • 2 full references in relevant work experience or similar field in the last 2 years.
  • Enhanced DBS child workforce on the update service (we can assist you with this if you do not have one)
