Are you a qualified school first aider who is looking for a new challenge? Do you hold a Level 2 or 3 in first aid or equivalent qualification? Monarch Education are looking for an assertive, considerate and experienced first aider who is capable of working independently with children.

Here are Monarch Education, we have paird up with secondary school based in Dudley who are in need of an expereinced first aider.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the medical room, delivering medicine and providing emergency first aid where required. This will be a full-time role. You must have a valid certificate for EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK. The role is to start ASAP and will be based in a school in Hall Green.

The working hours will be between 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Job role:

  • Assisting pupils with injuries and illnesses
  • Ensuring the efficient and effective running of the medical room, including records forms and supervision of sick or injured children.
  • Administering medications to pupils
  • Contacting parents to inform them if a child becomes unwell or is injured in school
  • Completing risk assessments and evacuation plans for students with identified medical needs
  • Providing medical support to students and calling emergency services where necessary

You will ideally need:

  • Hold a Level 2 or 3 First Aid qualification certificate
  • Have experience working as a first aid person, in a school environment
  • Understand how to work with children and young adults
  • Responsible person who can handle a busy school medical office.
  • Calling for an ambulance in an emergency
  • Knowledge of the importance of a professionally run and well organised medical room

Requirements:

  • 2 full references in relevant work experience or similar field in the last 2 years.
  • Enhanced DBS child workforce on the update service (we can assist you with this if you do not have one)
