About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and well-structured Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a full-time position that requires planning, preparation, and contribution to the wider Technology curriculum. The school is passionate about helping students build real-world skills, confidence in the kitchen, and a strong understanding of nutrition, safety, and food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 (including GCSE)
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons
- Support students in developing practical cooking skills and food theory knowledge
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental projects
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safety, and academic progress
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology
- Experience teaching Food Tech up to GCSE (or placement experience)
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for supporting young people to build life-long practical skills
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high-quality teaching
