About the Role

You will be delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop essential life skills, independence, and an understanding of nutrition and healthy eating. The school supports hands-on, creative learning and encourages students to take pride in their work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 (up to GCSE level)
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, practical and engaging lessons
  • Support students in developing cooking skills, food knowledge, and safety awareness
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and department development
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and student progress
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology / Hospitality & Catering
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level
  • Excellent classroom and practical lesson management skills
  • A passion for food, nutrition, and student development
  • A proactive and collaborative approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
