You don’t have to be a qualified Teacher for this role, but you must have some experience educating. Have you got experience working with children or adults who have SEND or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties? Have you worked as a support worker or in the care field? Perhaps you have a psychology or education related degree?

Requirements to apply:

  • SOME experience with PMLD. Maybe you’ve worked in special schools before, or taken a relevant course, perhaps you have a child or family member with PMLD needs?
  • Experience working in a school or education-based setting preferred but not essential
  • A knowledge of PMLD, BSL or Makaton would be a HUGE advantage
  • Willingness to do personal care

  • Open to practical or sensory ways of learning
  • Willing to use creativity to explore self-expression
  • Caring and attentive
  • Enthusiastic in their approach to learning
