Geography Teacher – Solihull

Monarch Education are an Education Recruitment Agency who specialise in placing Teachers and Teaching Assistants in their ideal roles. Monarch Education are currently working alongside Secondary Schools in the Solihull area to find a Geography Teacher to start ASAP.

The candidate for this role will educate students about the Earth’s physical features, natural resources, climates, cultures, and the relationships between people and their environments.

The ideal candidate for this role will hold / be confident in the following:

• Designing and delivering a comprehensive geography curriculum that covers various topics such as physical geography, human geography, environmental issues, and regional studies.
• Teaching students about maps, geographical tools, ecosystems, landforms, weather patterns, population dynamics, cultural diversity, and other relevant topics through lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
• Evaluating students’ understanding and knowledge of geography through tests, quizzes, projects, and assignments.
• Organizing and leading field trips to geographical sites, museums, or nature reserves to provide students with real-world experiences and enhance their learning.
• Integration: Incorporating technology, such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), digital maps, and online resources, to facilitate interactive learning and research projects.

Hours of work: Tuesday to Thursday 8.30-3.30pm Salary: £153 – £240 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

School Location: Solihull Accessibility: Easily accessible on Public Transport / Onsite Parking

Your application will be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working an Education Setting.
