Graduate Cover Supervisor

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a number of schools in Tameside, including Hyde, Ashton, Denton who need a number of Cover Supervisors to work in their schools ASAP on an ongoing basis. Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring and supervising classes across all subjects, during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that pupils continue to learn and are kept on task. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a Secondary School before they start the next stage of their career in Education.

The role

• Supervising Secondary classes in the short term absence of the class teacher
• Ensuring pupils are on task and continue to learn by keeping them on task with work that has been pre-planned for you
• Managing the pupils behaviour in the classroom, in accordance with the school behaviour policy
• Maintaining a positive learning environment, dealing with low level disruption, utilising TAs in class

The ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in some capacity of working with children or young people – this can be voluntary of paid and doesn’t need to be school based.
• A degree in any subject is ideal but other qualifications can be considered.
• A strong commitment to supporting pupil development and progress in school
• A passion for wanting to be part of a wider school team

These are full time positions, Mon to Friday during term time 08.20 to 3.30; these are ongoing long term roles with potential for being offered a contract with a school following a successful placement. Pay starts at £95 a day – seeing you earn at least £2000 per month!
