Graduate Cover Supervisor

Monarch Education are working in partnership with a number of schools within the Salford and Bolton areas, who require a number of Cover Supervisors to work in their schools across KS3 & KS4. Successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring and supervising classes across all subjects, working alongside other members of staff to provide a happy and safe learning environment for all pupils

The role

• Supervising Secondary classes in the short term absence of the class teacher
• Ensuring pupils are on task and continue to learn by keeping them on task with work that has been pre-planned for you
• Managing the pupils behaviour in the classroom, in accordance with the school behaviour policy
• Maintaining a positive learning environment, dealing with low level disruption, utilising TAs in class

The ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in some capacity of working with children or young people – this can be voluntary of paid and doesn’t need to be school based.
• A degree in any subject is ideal but other qualifications can be considered.
• A strong commitment to supporting pupil development and progress in school
• A passion for wanting to be part of a wider school team
