Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Area: Towcester

Salary: £110-130 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: 9am – 3pm, Fridays from 9am – 1pm

Start date: As soon as possible until 24th July 2024

Monarch Education are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant that will be working in a KS2 class at a primary school in Towcester area. You will be responsible for providing support to teachers, assisting in the delivery of the curriculum, and leading planned lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons
  • Lead small group sessions, including interventions, for students who need additional support
  • Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional help
  • Manage and supervise the classroom in the absence of the teacher
  • Support the teacher in assessing and monitoring student progress
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
  • Support the school’s ethos and values
  • Provide pastoral support to students as required

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Cover Teacher, HLTA or in a similar role in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • A patient and positive approach to working with students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • A willingness to work flexibly and as part of a team
