Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Solihull

Monarch Education are currently working with a Primary School in the Olton (B92) area of Solihull to find a higher level teaching assistant to work full time until the end of July. This role is to start ASAP and hours will be 8.30am – 3.30pm. You will be leading small intervention groups of children in the morning and will be covering across KS1 and KS2 as a general TA in the afternoon.

Requirements of applicant:

  • UK Level 4 Minimum Qualification in Childcare or Education
  • Sound knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Experience working with children of primary age
  • Confident and experienced supporting children with SEND (including Autism)

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach small intervention groups to children across KS2
  • Support children with a range of SEND – including Autism and ASD
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and senior staff on the progress of the pupil
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
  • Promote the social skills of all pupils during lesson and break times

Salary: £70 – £110 per day (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
