History Teacher

Monarch Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established secondary academy in South Birmingham to recruit a full-time History Teacher starting September. This role is offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the past and its impact on the present. You will play an active part in the department, contributing to planning, assessment, and the broader school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons
• Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Differentiate teaching to support all learners
• Assess and track student progress effectively
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm
• Possesses excellent classroom management skills
• Is committed to raising student achievement and engagement
