Monarch Education is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and inclusive school based in Bristol City Centre. This is a full‑time, long‑term role with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take on a higher level of responsibility in the classroom.

This role would be particularly well‑suited to someone with a strong background in behaviour management, youth work, or pastoral support, who is passionate about helping pupils engage positively with their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading whole‑class learning in the teacher’s absence and supporting high‑quality teaching across the school.
• Supporting pupils with behavioural needs, helping them regulate, focus, and reach their potential.
• Delivering small‑group interventions and tailored learning activities.
• Creating a purposeful, positive classroom environment and modelling strong behaviour expectations.
• Working closely with teaching staff to plan, adapt, and deliver engaging learning activities.
• Providing guidance and support to other support staff where needed.

Requirements:

• HLTA qualification or significant experience working at HLTA level.
• Strong background in behaviour management (school, youth work, coaching, or similar).
• Full‑time availability for a long‑term placement.
• Confident leading whole‑class learning and supporting a range of pupil needs.
• Excellent communication, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
