HR ADMINISTRATOR

We require an experienced HR administrator for a busy secondary school in Walsall

Working hours 8am-4pm Monday – Friday

It is essential that you have experience of working as an HR Administrator in a school environment. In this role you will be part of the high performing, friendly HR team and provide a confidential, high quality and efficient administrative service to job candidates, staff and managers. You will also have the opportunity to develop your HR skills and knowledge.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to assist with the smooth-running of the school office
  • Ensuring that all staff are compliant with safer recruitment in line with Keeping
  • Children Safe in Education guidelines and safeguarding processes.
  • Provide full HR administrative support to the team
  • Coordinate and manage all pre-employment checks (including references, DBS, qualifications) for successful applicants in line with Safer Recruitment
  • Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines and Safeguarding Processes.
  • Preferably have experience of using school systems such as CMIS and SIMS
  • Carry out general admin duties
  • Assist with on boarding of new staff such as processing DBS checks and issuing ID cards
  • Monitor absences in line with the relevant policies and procedures and support head teachers and line managers in taking appropriate preventative and reactive measures to ensure that absence in minimised.
