IT Technician

Monarch Education are looking for an experienced IT Technician in Birmingham and surrounding areas on a long term full-time basis. Someone who can build and support the IT team within a school, who has passion for technology and its fast-changing environment.

Working hours will be: 8pm-4pm Monday – Friday

About the role:

  • The role is full time, working hours may vary but a typical day is on an 8am-4pm basis with 5 days a week.
  • Must have the flexibility to do occasional other hours for school events where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolving issues for desktops, laptops, servers, tablets, projectors and interactive whiteboards, this will also include system upgrades.
  • Have a good knowledge of ICT in education
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Be confident in using Microsoft programs
  • Able to deliver first line support to staff and children
  • Be professional and able to take ownership of resolving problems.
  • Delivering first class support and development of IT provisions to support teaching and learning.
  • maintain and support the schools network infrastructure, software, hardware resources and stand-alone machines as directed by the IT Manager

Requirements:

  • 2 full relevant work based references that cover the last 2 years.
  • Enhanced DBS child workforce and on the update service (we can assist you with this if you do not have one)
