Monarch Education are recruiting a Teacher Assistant in the South, Birmingham area. This rewarding opportunity will allow you the chance to make a difference to students lives. We are looking for someone who is confident at communicating with young people and supporting their social, mental and emotional needs.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching staff to implement KS1 curriculum by planning and teaching lessons with groups of students, groups or individuals (when needed).
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports.
  • Ability to manage behaviour and talk to parents and carers when needed.
  • Working with a child’s strengths and weaknesses to support their development and progress.
  • Build a good rapport with both teachers and children.

Ideal Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a teacher assistant or in a similar role.
  • Communication skills.
  • Has experience in a setting which required being patient and empathetic with individuals.
  • Safeguarding (Level 1)
  • Ability to create a supportive learning environment.
