A mainstream primary school in the NG4 area are looking for a Key Stage 2 Qualified Teacher, to support on a long term and full time basis. This school are needing support with some short term planning but all long term planning is complete. Staff are entitled to PPA time and will be included in staff training.

The ideal candidate will:

• QTS or QTLS
• Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
• Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

• Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
• Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
• Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
• Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
• Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
• Possible supervising on lunch and break times
• Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
• Building relationships with staff and pupils
• Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
• Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
• To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
• Potentially lead in a subject area
• Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
