KS1 Teaching Assistant

ARE YOU A TEACHING ASSISTANT LOOKING FOR A LONG-TERM ROLE?

We are currently recruiting for two Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Shard End (B34). These are long-term opportunities for the full academic year, offering consistency and the chance to become a valued part of the school community.

Roles Available:

🔹 Reception Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
* Supporting pupils in an Early Years (Reception) classroom
* Working closely with the class teacher to support learning and early development

🔹 Year 1 Teaching Assistant (Part Time)
* Supporting pupils in a Key Stage 1 classroom
* Assisting with early literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities

About the role(s):

• Monday to Friday – Reception role: Full time / Year 1 role: 8:20am – 12:30pm (term time only)
  * Based in Shard End (B34)
  * Full academic year positions
  * Supporting pupils on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis
  * Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff
  * You must be available to attend a trial session on 8th July

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and proactive individuals with a passion for supporting children’s learning.

You will:
* Have recent experience working in a school setting (within the last 2 years, with references)
* Be confident supporting children across EYFS and Key Stage 1
* Ideally have experience within Reception or KS1
* Have a positive and flexible attitude
* Be able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
* Work effectively as part of a team
* Be committed to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Ideally be local to the area or able to travel easily

SEN experience is desirable but not essential for both roles.
