Early Years Teacher

Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Shirley who are seeking an Early Years SEND teacher from January to July 2025 to cover a maternity leave. Although this role is to start in January, the school are keen to appoint as soon as possible to ensure a smooth handover.
This all-age special school caters to students who all have a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN), primarily focusing on moderate learning difficulties, with the primary need being Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
The Role:
As an Early Years SEND Teacher, your typical day begins with warmly greeting your students at the start of the day. You would need to be able to set up an EYFS classroom, to incorporate learning through play and multi-sensory approaches. You will have several learning support assistants that support children on a one-to-one basis. You will need to ensure each support assistant is able to cater for each individual child’s EHCP’s.
