Our client school, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Aston, Birmingham, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026 until July 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of primary-aged children and supporting high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 classrooms.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and build confidence.
  • Assist pupils with varying learning needs, helping them access the curriculum.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build rapport and inspire young learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development.
