Monarch Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Shirehampton, Bristol. The Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across Key Stage 2 within the classroom.
- Work with small groups and individual children to reinforce learning and improve attainment.
- Assist with the delivery of engaging lessons in literacy, numeracy, and foundation subjects.
- Support children with varying learning needs and abilities.
- Help promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience.
- Provide targeted interventions where required.
- Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Work closely with the class teacher to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
- Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school setting.
- Have a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Are patient, positive, and enthusiastic.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are confident supporting children both academically and emotionally.
- Can build strong professional relationships with pupils and staff.
- Are adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute to school life.
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
