Monarch Education are currently recruiting for an English Lead Teacher for a fantastic specialist setting in Mansfield. The school caters for pupils from KS2-KS4 with SEN including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Challenging Behaviour, experience with these areas of SEN is beneficial however not essential.

About the role:

Leading and developing English across the school, working closely with Curriculum Leads and staff to raise standards in teaching and learning. Responsible for driving literacy initiatives, supporting best practice, and enhancing educational outcomes for all learners. Travel to other school sites may be required, therefore access to your own vehicle is essential.

  • Passionate about English and Literacy: Committed to promoting a love of reading and language.
  • Collaborative: Able to work effectively with Curriculum Leads, SLT, and wider staff teams.
  • Innovative: Creative in lesson planning and curriculum design.
  • Dedicated to supporting learners’ full potential, especially those with additional needs.
  • Capable of engaging with staff, learners, and families to support educational outcomes.
  • Ability to design and implement literacy initiatives and policies.
  • Skills in monitoring and evaluating learner progress and using data to inform improvements
