Can you inspire children with your knowledge and ability to be a positive role model?

Do you have a keen interest in developing your SEN understanding? Are you looking to gain experience in working secondary aged students?

We are working with a large secondary school located near Hucknall who require a Learning Mentor to join them on a full-time basis for a role starting asap. The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting teenagers with lower ability Maths and English skills.

This is a temporary role initially however, for the right candidate could lead to a permanent position.

About the Role:

* Supporting students who have recently been moved back in to a mainstream environment – you will be working with within the classroom where a teacher will be present
* Managing student’s behaviour effectively – these children have a history of being disruptive so you will be responsible for keeping them on task
* Following lessons set by teacher and keeping track of student’s progress

About you:

* You will be excellent at positively managing behaviour
* Calm and resilient approach
* A passion for helping young people progress and develop
* Previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health difficulties is desirable

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

* Have a right to work in the UK (A valid visa)
* Two recent child based references and relevant DBS/Police checks.
