Position: Learning Mentor

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development to enhance their overall learning experience. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to identify pupils’ needs and deliver targeted support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one mentoring and small group support to pupils with behavioural, learning, or emotional challenges
• Assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning, including issues related to anxiety or social difficulties
• Implementing tailored strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience
• Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents
• Contributing to the development and implementation of pastoral care plans
• Supporting the integration of pupils with SEND or additional needs into the classroom environment
• Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a primary school setting is essential
• A minimum of a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working directly with pupils in a pastoral capacity, including supporting behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Strong communication and organisational skills
