Pay: £100 – £110 p/day

Start date: Monday 2nd September 2024

Contract: Temporary – Permanent

A Special Educational Needs and Disabilities school in Kettering are looking for a Level 4 TA to work with SEMH students aged 11-16. Students have ADHD, ASD and learning difficulties as well as SEMH, so you must be able to support these students and be able to manage very challenging behaviours at times.

This role will be term time only and candidates must have relevant experience, for example in SEND or SEMH schools/with SEMH students.

Candidates must be ready to start work in September 2024 and be able to work 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Experience in an alternative provision, SEMH school or residential setting where challenging behaviours have been dealt with, is the type of professional working background the school are looking for.

The candidate needs to…

• Have experience with children or young adults (essential)
• Be able to work with and support SEMH pupils
• Be able to provide relevant references to comment on the relevant skills for this role
• Have excellent behaviour management skills, or be willing to learn
• Support young adults who may require 1:1 support
• Be able to work on site and off site, managing behaviours in both areas
• Be flexible in the workplace
