We are working with a secondary school in Tewkesbury that is looking for a committed Maths Teacher to join their team from March 2026. About the Role

In this long-term position, you will deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, bringing structure, clarity, and subject expertise to a range of classes. You will support learners in building confidence with essential mathematical concepts, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and encourage a positive attitude toward the subject. You will be expected to establish routines, uphold high expectations, and contribute to a values-driven curriculum that promotes thinking skills, resilience, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Maths lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Support the development of strong numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Work in line with school policies, curriculum plans, and departmental schemes of work
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and productive classroom environment
  • Encourage enjoyment, confidence, and curiosity within Mathematics
  • Provide additional support to students who may require help with understanding or behaviour
  • Contribute positively to the school’s inclusive and community-focused ethos
  • Promote high standards in mathematical thinking, accuracy, and independent study

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS or suitable Secondary Maths teaching experience
  • Confident classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to engage, challenge, and support mixed-ability groups
  • A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching
  • Strong passion for Mathematics and student success
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and school values
  • Secondary teaching experience preferred – ECTs also encouraged to apply
