Salary: £110 – 150 p/day (Agency working regulations to apply post 12 weeks)

Start date: ASAP

Hours of work: Full Time

Monarch Education are looking for a Qualified Teacher to work in a school with students aging from 11- 18. The role begins in ASAP, the school will consider both ECT. The role is teaching interaction with a diagnosis of Autism as their main presenting need. Pupils may have associated difficulties, within the areas of: Cognition and learning Sensory and physical needs.

The ideal candidate will:

• QTS or QTLS
• Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
• Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
• Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

• Have experience working in an SEND or care setting
• Have experience with children or young adults (essential)
• Be able to work with and support Special educational needs pupils aged 11-18
• Be happy to offer personal care support.
• Be friendly and resilient.
• Have some understanding of the UK National Curriculum
• Have excellent behaviour management skills, or be willing to learn
• Provide references relevant to this chosen role
• Support children and young adults who may require 1:1 support
• Build great relationships with staff and children
• Be able to work on site and off site, managing behaviours in both areas
• Be flexible in the workplace – supporting across different classes
